MAMA PERES NASIRUMBI OCHUMBO

August 1930 – 1st August, 2020

With great sadness and shock, we the Ochumbo family, announce the passing on of our mother and great matriarch Mama Peres Ochumbo who passed on peacefully in Nairobi on the morning of 1st August, 2020.

First born daughter of the late Yona Mudibo and the late Merab Nabwire of Mudoma village, Samia, Busia County. Loving wife of the late Andrew Ochumbo of Bulemia village, Budalang’i, Busia County.

Loving mother of Agnes Odhiambo, Miriam Limisi, Roselyne Wandera, Emma Mugabe and was preceded in death her children Dr. Magdallen Juma, Simon Ochumbo, baby Joseph Ochumbo, Patricia Oyomo, Michael Ochumbo and Anne Odumo. Step- mother of the late Fredrick Ochumbo and Matilda Muganda.

Sister of the late Michael Mudibo, the late Rael Nyangweso, Leah Namenya, the late Wellington Mudibo, Davi Mudibo, Melissa Maende and Thomas Mudibo among others.

Mother-in-law of Retired Judge Joseph Juma, Margaret Ochumbo, Ezra Odhiambo, Henry Limisi, Eunice Ochumbo, the late Francis Oyomo, the late Dr. Geoffrey Wandera, Jane Ochumbo, the late Col. Isaac Odumo and Prof. John Ouma Mugabe.

The cortege leaves Nairobi today, 25th August, 2020. Funeral service and burial will take place at her home Bulemia Village, Budalang’i, Busia County on Wednesday 26th August, 2020.
