It is with deep grief, sorrow, sadness and humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the passing on of our beloved family Patriarch, Mzee Stephen Kithunzi Walii on 26th August 2020 at Avenue Hospital, Nairobi.
The late Mzee Kithunzi was son of the late Walii Mutunga and the late Ngundi Makundl. Son in Law to the Late Mr and Mrs. Koka and the Late Mr. and Mrs Musanga wa Ngio. Husband to the late Anna Syomiti and the late Dorcas Koli. Father to Lasimah Kyongo, the late Muthini Kithunzi, Priscilla Ndunge, Thomas Mutunga, Aphiah Kavutha, Alfred Musembi, the late Joyce Kibibi, Elizabeth Nduku, the late Kilonzo Kithunzi, the late Mary Kithunzl, Ephantus Kitonga, Margaret Kithunzi (NWHSA), and Grace Kasyula. Brother to the late Joyce Syuvinya Ngunya Maondu.
Father in Law to Mary Kyongo, Charles Kitute, Ruth Thomas (GCA), Monica Musembi, Aphiah Kitonga, Robert Njau and Abdallah Mwayuya. Brother in law to late Maondu Mukonde, Rael Mutnnu, late Rhoda Mukina, Naomi Munyiva, late Mwania Koka, late Mulu Musanga, late Mwanzia Musanga and Mbalu Simitu. Uncle to Mukonde Maondu and Musivi Maondu. Grandfather to Annah Kyongo, Gloriah, Kambua, Fridah, Rachael, Ryan, Caleb Kithunzi, Late Sammy, Emmanuel Mumo, Grace, Annah Musembi, Gladys, Nelson, Christine, Late Joyce Kibibi, Late Stephen Kithunzi, Brian, Annah Kitonga, Joshua, Bravin, Ashley Koh, Wambui, Winnie, Joel Kithunzi, Sarah, Joyce Kibibi, Eric Kithunzi, Debra Mbalu, Dorcas Koll, Mareen, Dareen Koli, Feroz. Great Grandfather to many. In-law to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mbosyo, Mr. Musava and Late Kavutha, Mr. and Mrs Mulwa Mutua, Late Mr. and Mrs. Kitute, Late Mr. and Mrs. Mulatya Nzuki, Richard Njau, late Mary-Rose Njau, Late Ali Mwayuya and Mwanahamisi Toya. Relative and friend to many others.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi, on Friday, 4th September, 2020, for his home. Burial will be on, Saturday, 5th September, 2020 at his home in Ngungi Village, Ngungi I Sub-location, Zombe Location, Kitui East Sub-County, Kitui County.

God gave us you Stephen and God has taken you home to rest in peace. Blessed be His name. We loved you Tata, but God loved you more. Rest In eternal peace till we meet again. AMEN!
