It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our matriarch Elizabeth Kenduiywo which occurred on 22nd September 2020 at her home in Kaporuso Village, Bomet County after a long illness.

Wife of the late Phillip Kenduiywo and Co-wife of the late Ruth Kenduiywo of the greater Baliach family. Daughter of the late Mzee Kimarukembu arap Kalyasoi and the late Ann Kalyasoi. She was the sister of Samuel Ngerechi, the late Mary, the late Samson, the late Rebecca, Zacharia Ngerechi, and Lily Nyangwaria of Moiben. Mother of Rebecca Kamoing, the late Dr Mosonik arap Korir, Leah Kendy of UK, Nancy Cherono (KRA), Alfred Korir (County Government of Bomet), Joseph Korir (Mitchell Cotts), Eunice Khaniri of Nairobi, Daniel Korir (Standard Group) and Benson Korir (KICC). Stepmother of Duncan Korir, Meshack Korir, Bengeria Korir of Marben Schools, Edwin Korir, the late Margaret, Charles Korir, the late Rose, the late Robert and Josephine Kendy. Mother in law of Aaron Kamoing, Jacinta Mosonik. Esther Korir, Teresa Kipsigei, Hon. Senator George Khaniri, Ivy Korir and Lorna Korir. Other in laws are Norah Korir, Caroline, Alice, Hellen and Hon Beatrice Kones, Lily Kones among many others. She is the grandmother of 72 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren. She also had 2 great, great grand children.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily in Nairobi and at Kaporuso home.

The cortege leaves Tenwek Hospital mortuary on Monday 28′ September2020 at 1.00pm. Burial will take place on Tuesday 29th September at her Kaporuso home.
