ENG. GYAVIRA JOSEPH OWITI OMONDI

It Is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Engineer Gyavira Joseph Owiti Omondi, who until his death was the Acting Project Manager of Kimira Oluch Smallholder Farm Improvement (KOSFIP) – (LBDA) in Homa-bay County on 21st September, 2020 after a short Illness.

Son of the late Jorim Omondi Olue and Mama Magarita Ojwach Nyopiko of Kakmie VIllage, Ayucha Sub-Location, Awasi Location, Nyando Sub County, Kisumu County. Husband of Risper AkInyi Owiti of Lake Basin Development Authority – Rice Mill Complex Kisumu. Father of the late Joan Aluoch, John Awala, Dickson Amolo, Janet Owiti (St. Francis Hospital (Nrb), Judith Apiyo (Kenyatta University  NRB), Jackline Akelo (UON), and Tony Okoth (Kanyawanga High School). Brother of the late Michael Olal and Hellen Akinyi, Ondego, Otewa, Jacobo, Odumbe, Awino, Carren, Esther and Awino.

Grandfather of Gerald, Abigael, Sam Anderson and Joan. Father In law of Kellyson Achila. Son in law of Joshua Okal Bel and Damarice Akumu Okal of Kamser Osika, Nyakongo Sub-location, Rachuonyo North Sub-County Homabay County. Son In Law of Jeremiah Achila and Janet Odul Achila of Kombaka Village Sino Location, Rachuonyo South, Homa-bay County. Beloved uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital morgue Ogango on Thursday 1st October 2020 at 2pm for burial at his home In Kakmie Village, Ayucha Sub-Location on Friday 2nd October 2020. Burial shall be conducted by Living Streams Christian Church.
