The Nyanjom family of Odeko Village in Uranga, East Gem Sub-location of Siaya County, and of Lower Mbogo Farm, West Songhor, Chemelil in Kisumu County, announce the passing on of Mr. AggreyWillis Ochola Nyanjom on the 8th September, 2023 after a brave fight with cancer.

The eldest son of the late Mzee Dan Nyanjom and Mama Agnes Nyanjom. Step-son to Mrs. Alice Nyanjom. Son-in-law of the late Mr. Dan Owino and Mrs. Rosemary Owino of Ukwala, Ugenya.

Husband of Beatrice Owino. Father of Cynthia Awuor James and Laura Athieno Nyanjom, both of Columbia, MD, and of the late Dan Jaime Nyanjom Tabu; formerly of Boston, Mass.

Grandfather of Ethan and DJ. Brother of Elizabeth Adhiambo Halwenge, Eric Othieno Nyanjom, David Ogola Nyanjom, the late Jennifer Nyanjom Ochola, Ben Nyanjom, Ken Ratila Nyanjom, and the late George Ger Nyanjom.

Step-brother to Crispin Otieno Nyanjom, Maryanne Akoth Nyanjom, and Jeanette Valerie Nyanjom.

Uncle to Kenneth, Jacqueline, Benjamin, Maria, Charles, Nathan, Sarah, Rachel, Andrew, James, Michael, George, Dan, Ben, Thomo, and Munyaka.

He was a great uncle to many, including Ness.

Brother-in-law to the late Evans Halwenge, Beatrice Othieno, Glenna Hall, the late Patrick Ochola, Cleopatra Mbeo-Nyanjom, and Sarah Nyanjom.

Nephew of Reuben Ger, Julius Ger, Keziah Omuodo, Yuniah Awuor, Tobbit Odongo, Mary Dawo, Haggai Kwenda, Ruth Olero, Mika Okumu, Meshack Gari, James Nyanjom, Dominic Oduor, Teresa Obare, Vincent Ogutu, Charles Ouma, Charles Oluoch, and Fred Owino, among others – all deceased, and of Elizabeth Onyango, Caleb Osawo, Margaret Owuor and Mark Oloo.

Cousin to Nelly, John, Miriam, Priscilla, James, lzaq, Omondi, Isaac, Doris, Sam, Albert, Jacqueline, Dorothy, Fred, Booker, Jacob, Anna, Joab, Nicholas, Audrey, jecinta, Oscar, the late Geoffrey, Bobby, Rose, Michael, Paul, Simon, Lawrence, amongst many, many others.

Burial preparations continue daily in Uranga, Chemelil and Nairobi.

Funeral services will be held as follows: Thursday 28th September 2023, 10.00am at ACK Gul – Songhor Parish; Friday 29th September- 2023, from 12 noon at St. John’s, Uranga: and Saturday 30th September 2023 from 11.00am at Nyanjom family home, Uranga, East Gem.
