AGNES WANJIKU KAMWETI

1944 – 2022

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mama Agnes Wanjiku Kamweti, which occurred on Thursday 13th October, 2022 at Aga Khan Hospital – Nairobi.

Wife to the late Dr. David Muriuki Kamweti. Daughter to the late Nicholas Ndiritu Muita and the late Lydiah Wambui Ndiritu of Kahuririo village, Tetu Sub-county, Nyeri County. Mother to Edward Kamweti, Patricia Kamweti, Konyu Kamweti, Lydiah Wambui Kamweti, Wamucii Kamweti, Ndiritu Kamweti and Audrey Kamweti. Grandmother to Erica Wanjiku, Becky Waithera, Jesse Muriuki and Jessica Wanjiku.

In-law to the late Mr & Mrs Thambo, Dr & Mrs Chemon. Sister to the late Frederick Kagiri,Anastacia Mbau, Esther Aoki, Johnson Githaiga, Rosemary Nyachomba, Nancy Wamahiga, Francis Mathenge, Samuel Ndirangu and the late Peter Muita.

Sister-in-law to The late Wamucii Njuki & the late Njuki Wangombe; the late Gathoni Gachare & the late Gachare Gichaba; the late Kinaro Kamweti & Mrs.Wairimu Kinaro; the late Kinyua Kamweti & Mrs. Nyachomba Kinyua; the late Warungu Kamweti; the late Wanja Munene; Gathoni Muriuki, Wangui Muchina; Wangu Muriuki; Virginia Kagiri: the late Paul Mbau; Jacinta Githaiga; Wachira Kinyua; Cyrus Mbuthia; Eunice Mathenge; Naomi Ndirangu and Eunice Muita.A loving Aunty, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted on Wednesday 19th October 2022 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church – Ridgeways, from 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home – Nairobi, at 7.00am on Friday 21st October, 2022 for a funeral mass at 10.30am at her home in Kiamaina Village, Ichunga Location, Mathira Sub-county, Karatina – Nyeri County.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Rest in eternal peace Mama.
