It is with deep sorrow and the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Agnes Wembu Wachira (Wakanyiri), on 3 March, 2021.

Wife of the late James Wachira Kimathi. Co-wife of the late Wahito Wachira. Daughter of the late Kanyiri Muriithi the late Waigumo Kanyiri. Sister of the late Wairimu, the late Muriithi, Wanjiru, Wangui and the late Nguru. Mother of David & Catherine Kimathi, Susan & James Muchina, Anne Wambui Wachira Naisho (Teveni Limited), Lawrence & Grace Kanyiri, Jane & John Gichuki, the late Evaline Muthoni, Jackson and RoseMary Waigera. Step-mother of Lucy Wairimu and Theresy Wanjiru.

Grandmother of Wamuyu, Wachira, the late Kahuho, Ndegwa, VVaigera, Kubiu, Wakiuru (Ghana), Sayianet, Kores, Wembu, Muringo, Sunri Wachira, Mugo, Wachira Ngatia, Purity, Carol and Brian. Great-grandmother of Abigael, Muya, Hadassa, Kimathi, Wambura, Wairimu, Mureithi, Muchina, Muchina, Hazel, Lemuel, Reuel.

Family and friends will be meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Monday 8th March, 2021 & Tuesday 9th March, 2021, from 6.00pm and at her home Nduma Village, at the same time.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home, on Thursday 11-03-2021 at 7.00am. The funeral will be held at her home in Nyeri County, Mukurweini North Sub-county, Gikondi Location, Nduma Village.
