We celebrate the life of the Alphonse Tumbo Maina whose promotion to Glory occurred on the 19th May, 2023.

Loving husband to Martha Wangeci Tumbo. Adorable daddy to Martin, Simon, Fridah and Kevin. Father-in-law to Lydia, Catherine and Joanes. Grandfather to Allan, Ian, Angela, Faith, Emmanuel Israel, Michael Youssef, Charity, Lula, Nathan and Ro.

Son of the late Mzee Martinus Maina Nyairo and Angela Kemunto. Son-in-law to Mr. and Mrs Pharis Kairu.

Brother to the late Samuel and Juliana, the late John, Sarah, the late Helen Omboga, the late Martha Nyachio, the late Agnes Nyakundi,Teresia Nyamambia and Mary Moraa.

Cousin to The Omentas, Opendas, Merokas, Okoras, Misianis, Ouyas, Tumbos, Ondukos, among many others.

Brother-in-law to the late Juliana, the late Omboga, the late Nyachio, the late Akama,Waigwas, Mururus, Saropas, Mugis, King’oris, Gwandarus, Kurias, Gathanuas, Peters and Mainas.

Uncle to Charles Makori, Nicholas Omboga, John Bosco Ouya, Sheila, Veronica, Samuel Ouya, Stella, James Omwando, Thomas Nyairo, Stella,Veronica Shabaya, among many others.

Burial arrangements are ongoing at his home in Nyangena.

The requiem service will take place today, Thursday 25th May, 2023, at Nyangena home from 10:00am. The cortege will leave Nyangena Hospital on Friday 26th May, 2023 at 8:00am for funeral and final rites at home, Nyangena Kisii county.
