ANNE GATHONI RUTUNU

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Gathoni Rutunu, on 7th February, 2022 in Dallas, Texas after a short illness. She hailed from Muruguru, Nyeri County.

Wife to the late Joseph Rutunu. Daughter to the late William Kabui Kariuki and the late Catherine Wangui Kabui. Step-daughter to Rahab Wairimu. Daughter-in-law to William Macharia and Hagar Nyatetu.

Loving mom to Stella (Nyla) Rutunu, the late Martin Macharia Rutunu, Diana Wangui Kimoi, Angela Waithiegeni Nkonu and Abu Kabul Rutunu. Also survived by sons-in-law Saud Karamah, Thomas Mwibanda and Michael Nkonu. Loving grandmother to Said, Majid, Rowan, Hatim, Kairu, Eli, Afi Gathoni, and Rutunu.

Sister to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kariuki Kabui, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Gitu, Gladwin Gathigia Njoroge, Mr. and Mrs Edward Njogu. Step-sister to Mr. and Mrs. Johnstone Kariuki, Beatrice Wamwari, Harrison Theuri, Samuel Wanjohi, Jack Nderitu.

Sister-in-law to the late Rahab Wangui, Mrs. Jean Matu, Mr. and Mrs. David Wambugu, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Gacheche, the late John Karegi and Mrs John Karegi, Leah Njoki, Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Muriuki, Mr. and Mrs. James Chege and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ngari.

A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lavington – Nairobi, on Wednesday 16th February, 2022, followed by a fund raising event at the same venue.
