ANNE QUEEN MAKAU MULWA MWENDWA

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne Queen Makau Mulwa Mwendwa on the 3rd of November 2024.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Henry Mulwa Mwendwa and Esther Mulwa.

She was the devoted wife of Elijah Ndunga and the cherished mother of Sola Nixon Mulwa, Annet Kavenge Makau, John Maluki Makau, and Jimmy Mbila Makau, who each held her dear and found strength in her unwavering love.

Queen was a nurturing mother-in-law of Stephen Irungu Kamau, Felister Nzisa, Sylvia Wairimu Kinyua and Agnes Kiboi.

She was blessed with loving grandchildren: Bruce Kamau Irungu, Anthony Makau Irungu, Anthony Mwendwa, Michael Maluki, Alyse Neema, Ayrah Wangari and Malika Wambui Maluki, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Queen’s life was a testament to the power of love and generosity. As the sibling of the late Kivaya, the late Musembei, Kali, Kitavi, the late Safari, Dr. Ngumbau, Mbuli Moi, Mumbi Ng’ethe, and Mangole, she was the thread that wove her family together.

She was the beloved sister in law of Rhoda, Wairimu, Agnes, Kalunda, Lucia, the late Jonathan Moi, the late Ng’ethe and Viata. Additionally, she was the cherished niece of Hon. Nyiva Mwendwa and the late Hon. Kitili Mwendwa, the late Hon. Ngala Mwendwa, Pricsilla, the late Kana, Hon. Kyale Mwendwa, the late Susan, Jacinta, the late Masai, the late Kasee, the late Manzi, the late Manguye, the late Kasomo, the late Kathyindi, the late Kavili, the late Mutia, the late Munguti, the late Mbevo, and Mangole’s family (the late Grace, the late Lydia, the late Rhoda, Nyamai, and the late

Mutie). Queen was a cousin of the Kasee’s, Maasai’s, Manguye’s, Ngala’s, Kathyindi’s, Kavili’s, Kyale’s, Kitili’s, Mutia’s, Kasomo’s, Munguti’s, Mbevo’s, and Mangole’s. She held the role of an aunt of Isika, Esther, Mulwa & Maluki Kali, Stacy, Kangethe, Kathini, William, Diana, Mueni, Jakes, Waweru, Jedidah, and Mulwa Mangole, among others.

She showered her nieces and nephews with unconditional love and wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Queen’s generous spirit extended far beyond her family.

She was a cherished and loved friend to numerous individuals from all walks of life, known for her kindness, compassion, and the ability to bring people together.

Her home was always open, and her heart was always full, making every person feel valued and loved.

The burial service will take place on Saturday, November 16th 2024, at her home in Nguluuni, Mutendea Sub-Location, Syongila, Kitui County.

The cortege leaves Tribute Funeral Home at 8.00AM for a funeral service at ACK St.Michael at Mama Esther Mulwa Centre Mulundini from 10.00AM.

Family and friends are gathering for funeral at the Public Service Club (Main Hall) daily from 5.00PM and at her residence in Kitui.

Main fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 13th November 2024, from 5.00pm the Public Service Club (Main Hall).
