ARCH.FRANCIS GITAU MUNGAI (FG)

It’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Arch.Francis Gitau Mungai (FG) that happened in Atlanta, Georgia on June 15th 2024.

Arch. Gitau Mungai was the beloved husband and best friend to Nancy Ruguru Gitau, Dad to Mungai Dereshe Gitau, Nasha Wambui Gitau, Kariuki Irungu Gitau brother to Peter Kuria Mungai, Charles Nguri Mungai, Andrew Nganga Mungai, brother in law, uncle and friend to many.

Arch. Gitau Mungai was the founding partner at Aaki Consultants.

He was a former Chairman of Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK), Former Chairman of Physical Infrastructure Board KEPSA, immediate former Chairman of Family Bank Board of Directors, former Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Former Member of Governing Council Presbyterian University of East Africa, Former Board Chairman National Housing Corporation, Former Chairman, Environmental Committee Runda Association, Former Chairman, Faculty Advisory Committee of Board of Finance, Diocese of Mt. Kenya South, Former Member of Standing Committee Synod, Mt.Kenya South Diocese, Former Vice President Africa Region Commonwealth Association of Architect (CAA) and Former Member of Education Board, (BORAQ).

As per his wishes he will be cremated on Wednesday June 19th in Atlanta Georgia (USA).

Celebration of life Memorial services will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, and also in Kenya on dates to be communicated later.

Friends and family will be meeting at the All Saints Cathedral from Wednesday June 19th 2024.
