We regret to announce the death of Mama Beatrice Cherotich Chepkurui Kapsoot, who went to be with the Lord on 3rd September 2020 after a long illness, bravely borne.

She was daughter to the late Naibei Chepkorom and Mama Julia Maua. She was the beloved wife to Peter Chepkurui Kapsoot. Adored mother to Daniel Mosobo, Evans Saekwo, Christine Chemutai, Maurice Chepkurui, Esther Chebet, Sammy Psamiy and the late Faith Cherop. Grandmother to Patricia Chelang’at, Mark Kipkemboi, Patience Chepkoech, Louisa Chepkoech, Ryan Psiya, Adrian Sindet, Alyssa Cherop, Nathan Sewiy, Melissa Cheptarus, Derrick Kwemoi, Nicholas Kiprop, Abigael Chelimo and Caleb Kipkorir. She was sister to John Lemuso, Eunice Chemulwo Kaptoo, Judith Simotwo, Fangaline Psenien, The late Leah, Boiyo Naibei, the late Kelly Chepkain, Hellen Tengan and Jane Kapoloman. She was mother-in-law to Margaret Ngigi, Linda Chepkurui, Esther Yego, Dancan Korir and Wirie Baraza.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary, on Friday 11th September, 2020 for an overnight vigil. There will be a funeral service and thereafter she will be laid to’ rest at her home in Lolong’bei Village, Kaptama Location, Mt Elgon on Saturday 12th September 2020.
