It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing to God’s glory of Benson Irungu Ndiba (Macharia) formerly of White Rose Drycleaners Ltd on 13th August 2024.

He hails from Gatumbi Village, Kigumo, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Ndiba wa Muharata and the late Margaret Muringi Ndiba. Beloved husband of Joyce Mbaire and Josephine Wanza.

Father of Lucy Wanjiku (USA), Robert Macharia (Karen Blixen Maasai Mara), the late Mercy Gathoni, Edwin Gaaci, Judy Wambui (Muharata Agri-Machinery Ltd), Samuel Muharata (Qatar) and Carolyne Mwihaki (Ministry of Co-operatives).

Father in law of Veronicah Wanja and Annette Waceera.

Brother of the late Mwangi Ndiba (Muchorui Molo), the late Julius Mbuthia, the late Miriam Wambui, the late Peter Kamara, the late Josphat Munyinyi and Mary Njeri of Gatumbi Village.

Doting grandfather of Muthoni and Maina (USA), Muriuki, Keith, Jayden, Wakaba, Allie, Naphisa, Amirah, Ciku, Irungu, Tania, Muchiri, Mbaire and many more. Great grandfather of Amy, Abigal, Alex, Kylan and many more.

Paternal father of Professor Isaac Karanja Mwangi (Director, Centre for urban -Rural Linkages in Africa (CURLA)– University of Nairobi, Susan Wanjiku Kamara (UK), Edward Macharia Munyinyi (Director Edny Trading Ltd, Francis Njuguna Mbuthia (Principal, Gachika School) and many others.

Uncle of Evelyn Kamau (Mainland ventures), Samuel Muiruri (Karen Blixen, Nairobi), Bishop William Mwangi Gichini (Hope Impartation Ministry, Nyahururu), Lydia Maina (Nyahururu) and many more others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Gatumbi Village and Blue Springs Hotel Thika Road – Nairobi for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Kabati at 8.30 am on Monday 26/8/2024 for Church service at Gatumbi Primary School at 10:00am, thereafter he shall be laid to rest in his home Gatumbi Village, Gachocho Sub-Location, Kigumo, Murang’a County.
