BISHOP DAVID NGULI KALUA, PHD

It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the promotion to glory of Bishop David Nguli Kalua, PhD, of St Stephen’s Ministry. Bishop Kalua rested on the morning of Friday, 11th December, 2020 after a battle with heart illness.

He was son of the late Kalua Kyambo and the late Lenah Kalakwe. Husband to Deborah Kavuu Kalua. Father to Dr. Isaac Kalua, John Kioli, Julia Kalua and Anne Ndinda Shivo. Father-in-law to Susan Kalua, Victoria Kioli and Edwin Shivo. Grandfather to David, Michelle, Joy, Debra, Jerome, Adora, Ahadi and Sifa. He was the son-in-law to the late Kioli Muty’ota and the late Annah Kioli.

He was brother to Bernard Nzuki & the late Tabitha Musili. Brother-in-law to Nzilani, Musili, Alice Mwamisi, Priscilla Mutiso, Ruth Waema, the Late Musyoki Kioli and Mary Malombe.

He was cousin to Samson Ikumu, Joshua lkumu, Paul Ikumu, Aaron Kikuvi, James Kikuvi, among others. Uncle to the late Agnes Mutunga, Christine & Felix Mwamisi, Rev. Eunice Mandi, Nthenya & Safari Mwamisi, Grace Kivuva, Anne & James Katule, Maureen & Herman Mwashighadi, Grace & Adams Mbindyo, Nita & Paul Kihiro, Regina & Mati Musili, Rose & Peterson Musili, Moses Nzuki, Phyllis Nzuki, Christine Ndunge, Darlene & Titus Kyambo, among others. He was a great friend to many.

Farnily and friends are meeting daily at his home in Unyaa, Kitui County and at CITAM Valley Road on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th December starting 6:00pm.

There will be a funeral service on Thursday 17th December at Citam Karen from 12Noon.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way, on Saturday, 19th December, 2020 at 6.00am for the funeral service at Unyaa Primary School. Burial shall follow thereafter at his home in Unyaa village, Changwithya location, Kitui Central, Kitui County.
