BORNICE CHEPKOECH LANGAT
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our Great Matriach, Mrs Bornice Chepkoech Langat of Chebango Village, Kipsonoi Ward, Bomet County.
Loving wife to the late Samuel Kiprotich Langat ( Nyang’acha) and co-wife to Mrs Rachel Langat of Ndarawetta and Mrs Pauline Langat of Nakuru. Adorable mum to Winny, late Miriam, Alfred, Jackline & Caroline, Nicholas & Grace, late Emily, Eric & Bornice, Godfrey & Evaline, Joyce, Kenneth & Sarafina, late Prudence, Bishop Justus & Joyce, Geoffrey (Risky) & Emily and Martin & Mercy. She was a step-mum to Jared & Janet, Kenon & Janet, Asphel & Jacky, Serah, Gladys, Benson & Judy, Benwil & Emmy, the late Lydia and Beatrice & Chelule.
The late Bornice Chepkoech Langat was born in 1926 as the fifth child of the late Kipruto Kauria Arap Kalya (Chepokiseger) and the late Tapmiron (Tapwogo) Kalya of Motigo Village. Up to her demise, Bornice was the only living child of the late Kauria Kalya family… she was blessed. Sister to the late Mosonik Rutoh, Late Laboso Rutoh, Late Chebochok Rutoh, Late Sigilai Rutoh, Late Mrs Rugut (Obot Eunice), Late Towett Rutoh and the late Mrs. Hannah Mohammed Cheruiyot. Bornice was a also a step sister to the late Silimani Rutoh, Late Mabengo Rutoh, late Chebo Kipruto (obot Tapnyobii), the late Kipng’erechi Rutoh and the !ate Douglas Rutoh.
She was a Sister-in-Law to the late George Langat, late Christine Tonui, Late Lucas Cheruiyot, late Esther Koech, Mrs Rachel Koech, late Anna Odhiambo and Ezekiel Cheruiyot. Her other in-laws include late Joel Tonui, Edwin Koech, Richard Koech and late Joash Odhiambo. Her Kap Batimmisiek included The late Kap Joshua Koech, Kap Paul Rop, late Kap John Kosimbei, late Kap Joshua Mibei, Kap Peter Koskei, Kap Augustine Langat, late Kap Richard Maina, late Kap John Maina and late Kap Erastus Koros. Doting and charming grandma to ‘sere’ grand children, great grand children, great great grand children.
Cortege leaves Kapkatet Hospital (Kericho County) on Friday 4th September 2020 at 11 a.m for a Memory Service at Chebango AGC Church and overnight stay at her home. Her funeral and burial shall be held on Saturday 5th September 2020 starting at 9:00am at her home at Chebango.
RIP Mum, we loved you so much, but the Almighty loved you most.
