We, the family of Charity Muthoni Muu wish to humbly announce her promotion to God’s glory which occurred on Sunday 17th October 2021.

Wife of the late Johana Muu Kihia of Kahiga Village, Kiganjo location, Nyeri County. Sister of Martha Mumbi, late Jesse Mwinga, late Samuel Nderui, late Anne Wangui and the late Ngatia. Co wife to the late Elizabeth Nyakarimi, late Miriam Wangare (Wa Ndungo), and the late Selipha Wanjiku. Mother of Esther Nyaruai Quantimere, the late Michael Kiama, David Mwai, Wamae Muu and William Mwinga. Step mother to the late Mwaniki, late Wangare, Njeri, Gachagua, Elena Nyaruai, late Kihia, late Dr. Ndungo Muu, and the late Wangeci.

Grandmother to Charity Roberts (UK), Hugh Roberts (Luxembourg), Chief Inspector John Muu, Wangui, Muthoni, Wangare, Ng’endo, Lt. Colonel Muu Kiama, Gathigia Babie (Switzerland), Dr. Alex Mwai, Mwaniki, Kiama, Kevin Muu, Charity Muthoni Wamae (AUS), Nduta, Lisa Wangare (AUS), Stacey Gathigia (AUS), Mercy Wanjiku, Muu Mwinga, Joram Mathenge and Charity Muthoni. Aunt, grandmother and great-great grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her residence in Kahiga Village, Nyeri County.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on 27th October 2021 at 8:00 am followed by a requiem mass at Kahiga PCEA Church at 11:00 am. She will later be laid to rest at her farm in Kahiga Village.
