It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Charles John Owino Were who was working in the Ministry of Roads and Transport State Department of Roads, Materials Testing and Research Division (Nakuru Regional Laboratory), that happened on 1 December, 2022 at Alexandria Cancer Centre in Nakuru.

Loving husband to Caroline Akinyi Oyoya; Father to Malcolm Odhiambo, Nicole Atieno (St. Marys Webuye) and Shabbel Omondi (Gladjor, Nakuru).

Son to the late Sylvan Gerald Were Odero and Mrs. Mary Ogolla Akinyi Were (USA). Son-in-law to Mr & Mrs Paul Oyoya of Alego. Brother to Thomas Joseph Odero Were, Veronica Akinyi Ngugi, Moses Owade Were, the late Benedict Chester Otieno and Abraham Koppert Onyango Were (Australia). Brother-in-law to Joy Owino Odero, James Ngugi Kiiyuru, Linda Anyango Owade and Justine Daly Rae.

Nephew to the Ahambo Family of Alego Kagan Cousin to Dan Odidi, Maurice Ochieng, Opui,Yao, among others.

Uncle to Sylvia (Junior), Gerald (Senior), Michael (Chester), Ogolla (Siste), Kamwende, Nicole,Asher, Eric and others.

The cortege leaves Nakuru War Memorial Mortuary on 20th December, 2022 and the burial will be on 21st December, 2022 at Asembo Kochola in Rarieda Constituency, Siaya County.
