It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Charles Nguchuga Kiragu on 30th June 2020 at Jamii Hospital, Karatina.

Son of the late Ephantus Kiragu and the late Charity Thuguri. Son in law to the late Hezekiah Gakuru and the late Charity Wathande. Husband to the late Judith Micere Ngucuga. Father to Lawrence Kiragu, Anthony Gakuru, Edward Maina, Patricia Mutangili, Caroline Kimondo, the late Anne Wanjiru, Nicholas Maratu, Elizabeth Nguchuga Mugweru and the late Celestine Mararo. Father-in law to Charity Njeri, Polly Njeri, Lucy Njambi, Haruii Kimondo, Alice Waniiku, David Irura and Jackline Wanjiru. Brother to Perpetua Matimu, the Late Jackson Maina, Chrisostom Irura, Rosemary Ngacha and Dr. Asumptah Kagiri.

Brother-in law to the late Gerald Maratu, late Samson Migwi, Virginia Ndegwa, late Rachael Thiaka, Teresa Njeri, late Jimnah Murimi, Annette Muriithi, Rosalind Wakini and Anne Wanjiru. Uncle to the Matimus, WaMbigis, Iruras, Ngachas. Kagiris, Maratus, Ndegwas, Thiakas, Wahomes, Muriithis, Wakinis and Wanjirus. Grandfather to Nguchuga, Micere and Githui Kiragu, Judy and Charles Gakuru, Kevin, William, Judith and Jolene Maina, Michael Mutangili and Olive Mutua, Phoebe, Victor and Maureen Kimondo, Nilfer and Nguchuga Maratu, Warindi, Micere and Adele Mugweru, Terence, Ryan, Mwaura, Shirleen and Veronica. Great-grandfather to Jabali Alvin, Bluerose and Wambui.

The Cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday, 8th July 2020 at 9.00 am for the burial ceremony at his home in Kiriko, Kiangai, Kirinyaga West, Kirinyaga County.
