It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Christine Nkirote Kimaita, who was promoted to glory on Saturday 22nd April 2023 while undergoing treatment at The Mater Hospital – Nairobi.

Beloved wife to Michael Kimaita Magiri. Loving mother to the late Morris Munene, Ian Kimathi and the late Allan Mutua. Grandmother to Zara Mugechi.

Daughter to the late Pius M’Arunga and Martha M’Arunga of Ndamene Village in Mitunguu Ward, Meru County.

Sister to the late Marangu, DP Mugambi, late Gakii, Njeri, the late Mary, Jacob, Lucy, the late Silas, Mpinda, Tirindi, Carol, Jane, Agnes, Riungu, Doris, Kagwiria and Karambu.

Sister-in-law to the late Priscilla, the late Kamunde, Prof. Muthuri, Mwari, Kimathi, Gaiko, Muthaura, Xavier, Gatwiri, Robert, Patrick, and many others.

Daughter-in-law to Major (Rtd) Jacob Magiri and Rosalia Magiri of Gakurine Village, Meru County. Sister-in-law to Albert & Famidah, Martin & Grace, Moses & Sandra.

The cortege leaves The Mater Hospital – Nairobi, on Tuesday 2nd May, 2023 at 6:00am for a requiem mass at Runogone Catholic Church – Meru County from 11:00am. Thereafter, burial service will be held at her home in Gakurine Village, Meru County.

Family and friends will be meeting at the Public Service Club Upper Hill – Nairobi from 5:00pm on Tuesday 25th April,Thursday 27th April, and Saturday 29th April 2023.

Daily meetings will also be held at her Meru home in Gakurine Village, Meru County from Wednesday 26th April, 2023 to Sunday 30th April, 2023 from 5:00pm.
