It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Christine Nyangao Otieno which occurred on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her residence in Lake View Estate, Mombasa.

Madam Christine, as she was fondly referred to within her teaching fraternity, succumbed to breast cancer which she bravely fought.

Beloved daughter to the late Eng John Michael Otiato and Florence Wadoyi Otiato. Wife to Jack Otieno Arianda. Sister to Hellen Otiato, Josephine Otiato of USA, Caren Otiato, the late Caroline Otiato, Lucy Otiato, Rosemary Otiato, Mercy Otiato, Millicent Otiato, Goreti Otiato, Irene and Pauline Otiato.

Sister of the late Raphael Otiato, Eng Charles Otiato, Thomas Otiato, Daniel Otiato, Patrick Otiato of Egerton University, Bernard Otiato, Bernard Onyango Otiato and Leonard Otiato.

Mother to Benson Okello, Nancy Akinyi, Franco Odhiambo, Brian Otieno and Susan Adhiambo.

Grandmother to Sydney Arianda, Avery Gaye, Asher Gaye, Andry Gaye and Alvin Gaye.

Sister-in-law to Philly, Alino, the late Rachael, the late Rose, the late Judy, Leah, Lilian, Betty, Omondi, Ken, Horace, Paul, Mathews, among others.

Funeral meetings are being held at her residence at Lake View Estate, Mombasa.

The cortege leaves Jocham funeral home at 1pm on Thursday, January 13, for a brief service at her Lake View residence.

The body will then leave Mombasa for Ahero in Kisumu county where it will be interred on Saturday, January 15th, 2022.
