CUCU GLADYS WAMBUI NGARUIYA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Gladys Wambui Ngaruiya of Githaiti Village, Githiga Location, Kiambu County, which occurred on Tuesday 16 th July 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Benson Ngaruiya Kihiu. Loving mother of Jane Murugi and George Kamunyu, Rosemary Wangari and George Ndungu, Joyce Mukami and the late David Gitau, the late Charles Kimani, Elder Julius Kihiu Ngaruiya and Nancy Kihiu, and Peninah Wanjiru.

Daughter of the late Wallace Karichu Gacheru and the late Beatrice Wangari Karichu.

Sister of the late Mariam Mukami Kiruthi, the late James Gacheru, David Njuguna (Muturi), the late Josephine Wanjiku Ngugi, the late Lucy Wanjiru Mburu, Esther Nyambaara, John Mwangi (Komo), the late Simon Wainaina and the late Dorcas Nyokabi Wainaina.

Grandmother of Dr Carol Wairimu and Francis Ngure, Muiruri, Gladys Wambui and John Mugo, Winnie Muthoni and Reuben Mwangi, Gerald Kihara, Edwin Ngaruiya, Ruth Wangui, Gladys Wambui Gitau, Bedan Ngaruiya, Dr. Patrick Kihiu, Erickson Ngaruiya and Allan Ndirangu.

Auntie and Great grandmother of many.

Daily prayers are being held at her Githaiti,Gathaithi home from 4.00pm and at Elder Kihiu Ngaruiya’s residence, Silver Gardens near Starehe Girls, Kiambu at 6.30pm.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday 21st July 2024 at PCEA Gathaithi Church at 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral (KUTRRH) Funeral Home along Northern bypass on Wednesday 24 th July 2024 at 9.00am.

Funeral service will be held at PCEA Gathaithi Church at 11.00am.

Burial will take place thereafter at her family farm at Githaiti, Gathaithi Village.
