DANIEL NJOKA KIMWEA

The County Government of Kirinyaga regrets to announce the demise of Daniel Njoka Kimwea due to illness bravely borne.

Son to Samuel Kimwea Ireri and Talasila Njeri Kimwea. Husband to Jane Kagweni Njoka, father to Sammy Kimwea Njoka (Rwika Technical Institute, Embu), Lizbeth Njeri Njoka (Chumani Secondary School, KIN) and Ruth Mwende Njoka. He was a grandfather to many.

Until his demise he was serving as the Chairman of the Kerugoya Kutus Municipal Board. Through his career he has worked as a lecturer at Kirinyaga University, Board member at Kabare Girls’ High School and he was also a retired TSC Senior Chief Principal. He worked in various institutions including then Meru College of Technology, Kirinyaga Technical Institute, Ukamba Agric. Institute, Mathenge Technical Institute, Rwika Technical Institute, Kajiado Technical Institute, Emining Technical Institute and Mukurueni Technical Institute.

He was admitted to Karira Mission Hospital on 15th August 202: where he fought and succumbed to an illness. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday 19th August 2021 at around 8:00am.

He will be taken from Karira Funeral Home on Wednesday 25th August 2021, for a funeral ceremony at Kirinyaga University, then afterwards, he will be escorted to his home in Kutus, opposite Skylimit Academy where he will be laid to rest.
