It is with deep sorrow & humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful demise of Mama Dariya Indasi Shikubale on Wednesday, 14/06/2023 at her home in Ibushilukha, Kakamega County.

The firstborn daughter of the late Cosmas Shibonje and the late Lucia Simani. Sister to the late Clement Ingoi, the late Maximilla Khakai Masikolo, Athanas Lusala, Sapentia Mutambi Mmbo and the late Colleta Atisa.

Sister-in-law to the late Sapenzia lkanzo Shihale, Leah Shihale, Rosa Makotsi, Paul Amukati, Rosa Jibuchendi.

Beloved wife to the late John Paul Sikubale ‘Lord Louis”. Mother to the late Wilfrida, Antonina, Martina, Christina, Pius, the late Bernard, Petronila, Mary Justa and the late Boniface, the late Anancieta and Vitalis. Mother-in-law to the late Athanas Shitero, the late Frederick Madara, Charles Arema, Edgar Amaitsa, Beatrice Asenwa, the late Maurice Milimu, Cleophas Ojuma, Bernardina Mahemba.

Auntie to Chris Murunga, Susan and Fridah, the late Alexander Anyika and Getrude, Margaret, Jacintah, Geoffrey, Nancy, Constance, Nelson and Felix, among others.

Grandmother to Jackyline, Maureen,Audrey, Michael, Owen, George, Stephen, Angie, Judith, Kevin, Annette, Adelyne, Alvin, Melvin, Kingsley, Lilian Simani, John Paul, Oscar, Lilian Milimu, Eric, Synorina, Eunice, Eric, Julliet, Josephat, Sylvia, Eugene, Euphrasia, Kelly, Melvin Khalenya, Antonia, Jordan-Yusuf, Kayla, Zinab Johnson and Denise Khadijah Johnson, among others.A Great-grandmother to many.

Relatives & friends are meeting daily at her residence in lbushilukha from 4.00prn.

The cortege will leave Mukumu Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday 30/06/2023. at 7:00am. Thereafter, Holy Mass to follow from 8:45am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church – Shibuye, Kakamega. Funeral service and burial ceremony will be held on Saturday 01/07/2023.

Eternal rest grant unto her, 0 Lord, & let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
