DAVID KANYUIRA GIKONYO (MWALIMU GIKONYO)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of David Kanyuira Gikonyo of Kiawambogo Village, Rwathia Location, Kangema Sub-county, Murang’a County, which occurred on 14th May 2021.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daudi Gikonyo Kanyuira. Son-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs James Kamau Gathira. Beloved husband of Lilian Wanjiku Kanyuira. Father of Jennifer Kanyuira (Probation Mathari), George Gikonyo (KTTC), the late Stephen Kamau, Peter Kagwanja (TUK), Judy Muringi, Daniel Gathira, Lucy Wanjeri, Mary Wanjiru (Murang’a County Govt), Susan Mugera (Metropolitan Sacco), Irene Waitherero and Martin Macharia.

Father-in-law of Scholastica Nyokabi, Lucy Gathoni, Warui Thiong’o, Pauline Wambui (KNH), Mwangi Maingi, Dickson Kinyua (KMTC), Geoffrey Mugera (USA), Edward Kibuika and Mercy Wangui. Grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Castle Gardens in Garden Estate, along Thika Road, and his home in Kiawambogo village for burial arrangements from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma funeral home Thika Road (Kabati), at 8.00am, on Saturday 22nd May, 2021. The funeral service will be held at ACK Kiawambogo grounds thereafter burial at his Kiawambogo Farm.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
