Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) regrets to announce the sad demise of Eng. David Nyaga, which occurred on 20th July 2021 at the Mater Hospital, Nairobi following a tragic road accident. Until his demise, he was a Chief Technical Officer at the Authority’s ANS Headquarters.

He was the son of Benjamin Njeru Mbugi and Niceta Ngal Njeru. Son in law to Canon Felix Gibson Njue and Mary Ndegi Njue. Husband to Dr Sophycate Wanjiru (FAO). Father to Eng. Eva Kathi (IGAD) and Eng. Linda Mwendia (UCT South Africa). Brother to Dr Jenard Patrick Mbugi (KU), Judith Igoki Gikonyo (T ET lriamurai), Luciana Muthoni Kinyua (Principal Majue High School), Jane Muturi Njiru (Muchonoke Primary School), Catherine Nginya Kimani (Business lady Nairobi), Eustace Mwaniki Njeru (National Police Service NIB), Gladys Irima Njue (MoH Runyenjes Level 4 Hospital), Zipporah Karimi Njeru (Seven Folks Primary School). Brother in law to Matilda Mbugi, Julius Gikonyo, Geoffrey Kinyua, Justus Njiru, Godfrey Kimani, Monicah Mwaniki, Leonard Njue, Ferdinand Niue, jean Bancy, Haniel Kariuki. Uncle and cousin to many.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday the 29th July 2021 at All Saint’s Cathedral, Nairobi, at 2.00 pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home (Thika Road) on Friday the 30th July 2021 at 7.00am for burial at his parents’ home Kangungi village in Mbeere South sub-county, Embu County, from 11:00 am. MoH Covid-19 rules apply for the memorial service and funeral rites.
