DERRICK MWENDA ETHANGÁTHA 

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Derrick Mwenda Ethangátha that occurred on 20 th September 2024 after a long illness gallantly fought.

The late Derrick was son of Faith Nchekei Ethangátha.

He was cherished husband of Cecilia Ngugi, loving father of Sharlene Kendi, Tylor Munene and Hailie Wanja. He was a dear brother of Fidel Makori. 

He was nephew, uncle and cousin to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at their Isiolo (Kulamawe) and Meru (Butai) homes from 5.00 pm for burial arrangements. 

The cortege leaves Cool Breeze Funeral home on Friday, 27th September at 8.30 a.m for final burial rites at their rural home in Butai Village, Kimachia Location, Tigania West Sub – County, Meru County.

Derrick, thank you for teaching us how to never give up. Shine on your way Uncle!
