It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Dorcas Koli Mutunga aka Doty, a Third year Computer Science Student at CUEA, that occurred on Friday, 20th September 2024, at Mater Hospital, Nairobi. 

Beloved daughter of Thomas Mutunga Kithunzi and Ruth Thomas Kithunzi.

Sister of Sarah Wayua Mutunga, Joyce Kasyoka Mutunga, Eric Kithunzi Mutunga and Twin Sister of Debra Koki Mutunga.

Godmother of Taji, Grandchild of the late Kithunzi Wali, the late Dorcas Koli, the late James Mulatya, and late Sarah Wayua. Niece of Priscila Kitute, Margaret Kithunzi,  Grace Kithunzi,Chongoh Kithunzi, Aphia Kithunzi, Musembi Kithunzi, Ephantus Kithunzi, Faith Mulatya, David Mulatya, Queen Mulatya, Lydia Mulatya, Dominic Mulatya, Charles Kitute, Robert Njau, Abdalla Mwayuya, Charity Nduku, Khamis Omar, Kavata Kasekya and many others . 

Cousin of Ashley Koli, Nelly Wambui, Winnie Koki, Joel Kithunzi, Mareen Wanjue, Dareen Koli, Feroz Mwayuya, James Samuel, Kivalu, Acacia, Sarah Queen, Sarah Hamis, Tatu, Aisha, James David, John, Jeremiah, Joseph, Prudence, Sarah Kasekya and Purity among others.

Aunt of Tyron,Tatenda,Taji, Sonia, Chaim and many others. Sister-in-law of Joseph Nyaga and many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family homes in Mara Savannah, Donholm, Nairobi and in Ngungi Sub-Location, Zombe Location, Kitui County for prayers, fundraising for a huge hospital medical bill incurred and for funeral preparation.

There will be a fundraising function today Wednesday, 02nd October, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral, Kenyatta Avenue, from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm to settle the medical & burial expenses.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 03rd October, 2024 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Raila Odinga Way.

Doty will be laid to rest on Saturday, 05th October, 2024 at Ngungi Sub-Location, Zombe Location, Kitui County.
