It is with great sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Dr. Christine Ong’ayo Wangia (PhD), Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy – JKUAT, which occurred in Seattle, USA, following an illness bravely borne.

Daughter to the late Methusela and the late Doris Odongo. Loving and caring wife to Eng. Jared Waudo Wangia (Friends’ Chemist, Mumias). Mother to Petronilla (Diva Communications), Eng. Peter (Chebu Pharmaceutical), Dr. Elizabeth (MoH) and Elisha (Microsoft). Mother-in-law to Eva (Faculty at Everett Community College), Eng. Okola (Engineering Ideals) and Francisca (Fran Beauty). Grandmother to Thomas, Brian, Hellen, Timothy, Chris, Lakeesha, Nathan and Nessiah. Stepmother to Elizabeth (Daystar).

Sister to the late Adhiambo, the late Amos, the late Tabitha, the late Frieda, Mildred, Hellen, and Solomon. Daughter-in-law to the late Thomas and the late Elizabeth Wangia.

Kulati (Emmy). Beloved aunt and friend to many.

A memorial service will be held at Ruiru Friends Church on 17/08/2022 from 10.00am.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home – Nairobi on 18/08/2022, for the burial on 20/08/2022 at her home in Chebuyusi, Navakholo Sub-county, Kakamega County.
