DR. JAMES LETOYA OLE SEKENTO

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the death of Dr. James Letoya Ole Sekento that occurred on 10th December 2023 after a short illness.

Son to the late Edward Mbarnoti Sekento, the late Joyce Kerarapon Sekento and the late Hannah Sekento.

He was a loving husband to Lucy Sekento and a devoted father to his children: Hon. Brian Ole Sekento (formerly Kajiado Senatorial candidate), Lawi Parei and Emmanuel Molonket. Father-in-law to Wynn Kendi, Eunice and Nancy. Grandfather to Ibrahim Letoya, Damien, Mali Mbarnoti and Andel Letoya.

He was also a caring brother to the late Naomi, the late Saitoti, Mary. George, Priscilla. Lorna, Beatrice, the late Joan, Sirere, the late Sadat, the late Sankale. Loise, the late Rhoda, the late Tinina, Baker, the late Dickson, Monana. Janet. Parsaloi and Nadupoi.

Cousin to the late Aronke Lersamolal, Peter Liaram, Philip Rumbe. Katoiye Family. the Tirike family,Torome family, Kirinkai family, Mopel family and the larger Leto.otu Family.

Nephew to the late Anna Korces, John Senewa Kaurrai, jacinea Karasha amongst others.

He served in the Public Health at NASCOP, Division of National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Lung Disease Program, and Division of Malaria Control Program, and other different sectors in the Ministry of Public Health within the Country. He leaves behind a legacy of healing, integrity, generosity and environmental conservation. His commitment to health sector, environmental world and community at large will be cherished for years to come.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Kerarapon farm where he will be laid to rest next week on Wednesday 20th December 2023 after a funeral service at PC.E.A Kerarapon.
