Dr. Jeremiah Humphrey Akumu

We celebrate the life of Dr. Jeremiah Humphrey Akumu of VSF-Germany; who passed away on 5th May 2020 at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

Son to the late Mzee James Aggrey (Aggripa) Akumu and Mama Phoebe Atieno Akumu of East Asembo, Omiya Malo, Kandaria School. Husband to Ann Masaa Mutisya-Akumu. Son-in-law to the late Joseph Kavinga Mutisya and late Monica Masaa Mutisya of Muthale Village, Musengo Location, Kitui West. Father to James Aggrey Akumu (Jemmo) of NOVA Pioneer, Tatu City. Brother to Joel Odhiambo (Lisenced Surveyor), the late George Owino, Pst Michael Akumu (Siany Secondary), Onyango Akumu (Bar Kanyango Pri School), Evelyn Akumu (Jubilee Insurance), Eunice Akinyi, Esther Akumu, Erick Okumu, Emily Akumu (VegPro), Habakkuk Akumu, Caren Adhiambo, Caroline Sunday, Olivia Akumu (Jubilee Insurance), Dorothy Ouma (Nakuru), Bishop Dr. J.J Oduor, the late Captain Habakkuk Okello, Salry Awiti and FCPA Sam Alala Okello (CBK).

His uncles include the late Sospeter Nyagaya, Samuel Opiyo,Walter Nyangaga, Gordon Gumba and James Okaka among others.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Mortuary-Nairobi on Monday 11/05/2020. Burial will take place on Tuesday 12/05/2020 at his father’s home in Kandaria Village, East Asembo Location, Omiya Malo, Rarieda Sub County.
