DR JOHN HONGO RANDA

It is with profound shock, sorrow, grief, and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved and esteemed soul, Dr. John Randa, which occurred on Sunday, October 8th 2023. Dr. John worked as a senior economist for the World Bank until his untimely demise.

He was the beloved husband of Seline Awuondo (Amref Health Africa). As a loving father, he leaves behind cherished memories with his children: Dr. Magdalene Randa (Brighton, UK), John Randa jr., and Ricciardo Randa.

Son of the late Dalmas and Siprosa Randa. Son In law of Wilson Awuondo and the late Peres Awuondo.

Brother to the late Florence, Jane, Thomas Ouma (Pioneer International University), Christine, and Maxmanus.

Grand son of the late Amadius Otuoma and the late Magdalina Owuor. Nephew of the late Angelus, Andrew and Sisilia.

Brother in law to Judith, Benard, Jack, Judith, Catherine, Dorcas, Evans,Victor and Evans. Cousin of Philip and others.

A Require Mass will be held in his honor on Thursday, October 19th 2023, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kileleshwa, at 2:00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday, October 20th 2023 at 8:00 a.m. for Mass at Obambo Catholic Church, Kisumu West, from 3:00 p.m. and thereafter an overnight stay at his rural home.

The final ceremony and burial rites will take place on Saturday, October 21st 2023, at his home in Holo, Kadawa Village, Upper Kadongo, Kisumu West, Kisumu County.

As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, his legacy will live on through his lineage and deeds.We find solace in the words of Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

May his soul rest in everlasting peace. Sleep on, Daddy. We love you.
