DR. JOHN MAINA JIMNAH

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to higher glory of Dr. John Maina Jimnah of Ngong while undergoing cancer treatment.

Son of the late Mzee Jimnah Gichu Githaiga and the late Mama Elishiba Muthoni Jimnah of Kagicha Village, Chinga, Othaya. Loving husband of Martha Wairimu Maina-Gacicio (Chloride Exide Kenya Ltd). Doting father of Jimnah Gichu (UON) and Elishiba Muthoni (UON). Brother of Daniel Githaiga, Joyce Njoki, ELizabeth Thiong’o, Harrison Macharia, Christopher Waitara (Canada), Mwangi Jimnah, Martin Nyingi and George Wambugu. Son-in-law of the late Paul Gacicio Macharia and Margaret Gacicio of Muirungi Village, Chinga Othaya. Brother-in-law of William Thiong’o (MCA Nyeri), Pauline Mwingi, Michael Macharia (USA), Jane Gaticio, Joseph Kagiri (USA), Peter Mwangi, Elizabeth Muthoni, Harrison Thuku among others. Loving cousin, uncle of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers at his Ngong home and also at the family home in Kagicha Village, Othaya, Nyeri in strict compliance of the Covid-19 guidelines.

There will be memorial service at ACK St. Emmanuel Church Ngong on Sunday 2nd August 2020 at 2 pm. The cortege will leave from KU funeral home on Wed 5th Aug 2020 at 7.00am for the funeral service and burial at his home, Kagicha Village, Chinga, Othaya Nyeri on the same day.

Dr Jimnah Maina will be missed by family, many friends and colleagues.
