DR. PR. RICHARD OKEMWA AYAKO

1963 – 2021

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Dr. Pr. Richard Okemwa Ayako that occurred on 17th October 2021 at Avenue Hospital after a short illness. Until his death he was a lecturer at Kisii University.

A dear son to the late Isaac Ayako Nyandusi & late mama Esther Bonareri & late mama Mary Sarange. Beloved husband to Pauline Gesare of Kisii University. Doting father of Gloria Mwango, Stephen Nyandusi & Calvin Abuga. Brother to late King George, Ronald, Margaret, late Dinah, Duke, Rachael, Samuel, Rebecca, late Helen, Joyce and Hayes Ayako. Son in-law to James M. Bogecho & Bilha Kwamboka and Alice Kemunto.

Nephew to late J. Meroka, B. Nyang’au, Martha, late J. Oiruria, Masakara, Omurwa late Hon. Simon Nyachae, mama Martha Nyachae, mama Grace Nyachae, late Isomba, late Obonyo, Maria Nyakora,Yunuke Oruria, Dinah Misiani, Dinah Isomba & Ruth Makori among others. Cousin to B. Mang’era, Rebecca, Drusilla, Alice, Jlasanaect, Pauline, late Eng. G. Oribo, Isaac, Caleb, Isaac & Fred Meroka, Christopher, Shem, Nyandusi & Anthony Oiruria, Hon Judge. There shall be a fundraiser on Tuesday 26th October, 2021 from 5:00 pm at Nairobi Central Church (Maxwell) – old sanctuary and on Wednesday 27th October, 2021 from 2:00 pm at Kisii Central SDA Church.

The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday 27th October, 2021 as from 08:00 am to Noon at Nairobi Central Church (Maxwell). There shall be a funeral service at Kisii University PAVILLION on Friday 29th October, 2021 as from 2:00 pm.

Final rest of the Late shall be on Sunday 31st October, 2021 from 9:00 am at his Home in Nyosia, Kegati Kisii County.
