DR. STANLEY KOORO MBWIRIA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely passing of Dr. Stanley Kooro Mbwiria, retired Veterinary Doctor with the Government of Kenya, which occurred on 19th November 2020 at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital Nairobi, after a sudden illness.

Son of the late Julius M’Mbwiria and the late Beatrice Munyange. Son-in-law of the late Gabriel Ncebere and the late Jennifer Kaburo. Loving husband of Severina Thirindi. Adoring father of Samuel Mwirigi, Mercy Nkirote (Medecins Du Monde, Nigeria.), Dr. Joshua Murungi (Meru-TRH) and Benjamin Kirea (UoN- School of Engineering). Also brother of Pasqcualina Nkatha, Charles Kirea, Jennifer Gateti, Geoffrey Gichuru, Salome Kaimenyi and Grace Kiende. Brother in law to Martha Njiru, the late Joseph Maithima, Elizabeth Mware, Teresia Gakui, Daruel Muriuki among others and uncle to many.

His humility, wit, sense of humour, and love of intellectual sparring will be remembered by ail who were fortunate enough to know him. Stanley will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who were so deeply affected and forever changed by his presence and touched by his love, generosity, resilience, and wisdom. From a very young age, he was a visionary and he carried others with him as he so diligently pursued his vision of creating a better life for everyone around him.

The cortege leaves NWH Funeral Home, on Wednesday 25th November, 2020 for an internment service at his residence in Nkubu town, Meru
