ELDER HENRY MAINYE OSINDE

(1958 – 2024)

We regret to announce the untimely resting of Elder Henry Mainye Osinde of Kilimani Springs SDA Church, Nairobi on 9th September after a short illness.

He was the son of the late Elizaphan Osinde Motari and the late Mama Yunes Kemuma Osinde of Eronge village, Ekerubo Location, Nyamira County. His Step-mothers are; Joyce Osinde and Teresa.

He was the husband of Salome Mainye. Father of Kevin (Britam Kisii) Lorna (Ngong Hospital) Racheal (Masinga Boys) and Simon (UNHCR Kakuma).

Father-in-law of Grace Kevin Christopher Mburu, Saul Momanyi and Ruth Simon. Grandfather of Charles, Joy, Favour Nyanchama, Samuel, Hope, Joy,Tiffany, Kyle and Mainye Junior.

Brother of Priscilla Nyaboke, the late Yabesh Momanyi, Evans Nyauncho, Dinah Mogire, the late Pamela Nyabonyi, Benard Omonywa, the late Mokaya, the late Ongiri, Josephat Omwenga, Ruth Kerubo, Ruth Nyakerario, Dickson Momanyi, Fred Mainye, Irene, the late Denis, Momanyi, Omwansa, Rodgers among others. Brother-in-law of Wilfred Ariemba, Teresa Momanyi, John Mogire, Mercy Nyauncho, Julius Orechi, the late Patrick Onyango, the late Joel Nyabuti, the late Patrick Nyabuti, Pauline, Alice, Nyasuguta, Linet Omonywa, Millicent Omwenga, Priscah, Lister, among others.

Korera of the late Charles and Doris Onsomu, Mburu, John and Grace Manyange, Mark and Peninah Asuma. Cousin of Nyandiekas, Nyanyukis, Nchogus, Bosires, Ongiris, Otienos; among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Nyayo Highrise Estate from 4:00 PM and Eronge Village in Nyamira.

A fundraising event to defray the hospital bill and the funeral costs will be held at Nairobi Central SDA Church Basement on Tuesday 17th September 2024, from 5:00 PM.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nairobi on Thursday 19th September 2024 at 7.00am for funeral service and burial at his home at Eronge Village on 20th September 2024.
