ELDER JAMES SIMEON SIMIYU MABONGA

1938 – 1st June 2024

We are saddened to announce the death of Elder James Simeon Simiyu Mabonga. Elder Simeon was a key pillar in the saturation agenda of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Western Kenya Conference.

The late elder was born in 1938 to the late Mabonga Wandiba Omumusomi and Maria Lukela Omumuyonga daughter to Libusi Muchuma.

The elder was brother to the late Robai, the late Jotham, Robert Wafula, the late Butete, the late Joyce, the late Nelima the late Mutoro, the late

Japtheth, the late Khisa ,the late Khamala, the late Dina, tha late Khisa, the late Khamala, the late the late Mukokeli, the late Wandibwa , the late

Samson and the late Ferenandis.

The late was husband to the late Neddy Nanyama Murunga Omuchemwile and father to Beatrice, Joel (Kennedy), the Late Peter, Omari, John, Sikuku, Joan, Hellen, Lilian, the late Abraham, Martin, Gladys, Job and Jesse.

Elder Simeon was a proud father in-law to Sabu, Carolyne Nekesa, Salome, Caroline and Brenda John, Safina and Dorice. Elder has left behind thirty

grand children and one great grand child.

The cortege will leave Eldoret’s MTRH funeral home on Wednesday 12th June 2024 for prayers and overnight stay at his residence in Mashambani Estate opposite National Cereals Board, Bungoma town.

Requiem service will take place on Thursday 13th June at West Kenya College, Bungoma.

Burial will be held on Friday 14th June 2024 starting from 9am at his farm in Makhonge, Chwele Bungoma County.
