ELDER KAREN CIAKUTHII KANG’ARA

August 8th 1946 – February 15th 2022

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

It is in acceptance of the will of God that we announce the passing of our beloved Elder Karen Ciakuthii Kang’ara after a long illness that she bravely fought. Second daughter of the late Ezra and Late Abishagi M’Njau. Daughter-in-law to the late Kang’ara Gachie and Late Zipporah Wangari.

Loving wife of Lt. Col. Kang’ara. Loving mother to Michael and Chihenyo Kang’ara, Linda and Timothy Olweny, Robert M. and Rosemary Kang’ara. Wonderful grandmother to Nia Kang’ara, lmara Kang’ara, Kwe Olweny, Hera Olweny and Kirsten Kang’ara.

Sister to Bretta Muthoni and the late David Mungai, Late Gibson and Margaret Micheni, Late Caroline Mugo, Keziah Kaari, Linda Kagendo & the late Fred Nyaga, Beth Karimi & Elijah Mageto, Late Edward & Kathanje Kathuni, Susan Kageni & Loftin Kinyua, Joseline Wanja & Titus Kitana, Lucy Kanini & Karanja Kimani, the late Dorothy Njeri, Triza Sabastiano, Danstan Kathuni, Grace Mbare, Ciarunchi Nyaga, Ngugi Njau, Sylvia Akubu, Mutegi Njau, Late Mugo Njau, Jane Kagweni, Gitaari Njau, Munene Njau among others.

Prayers will be held at the PCEA St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi.

On Monday, 21st February, 2022 at 6:30 pm. The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home for a funeral service at PCEA St Andrew’s Church, Nairobi. From 11:00 am on Wednesday, 23rd February, 2022 and interment thereafter at Langata Cemetery.
