It is with thanksgiving and acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Elijah Cheruiyot arap Chebelyon, following a long illness bravely borne.

Son of the late Petero and the late Rebecca Murei of Korongoi village, Cheborge, Bureti Sub-county Kericho County. Step-son of the late Esther Murel, Alice Murei. Beloved husband of Rael C. Chebelyon of Kipsotet Village, Taiywet Location, Ainamoi Constituency, Kericho County. Loving father of David, Nancy. Hellen, Richard, Jane and Kenneth. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many. Father-in-law of Nancy, Tedd, Rhoda, Patrick and Jackline.

Brother of the late William Chebelyon, Hon. Nathaniel Chebelyon, Ludia Sang, Elizabeth Birir, the late Captain Reuben Chebelyon, Zakayo Chebelyon, Sally Langat, the late Joel Chebelyon, the late Damaris Maritim, the late Ibrahim Chebelyon, the late Grace Ngeny, the late Sophie Rop, Ezekiel Chebelyon, Rachel Langat, the Sate Andrew Chebelyon, the late Joseph Chebelyon, the late Richard Chebelyon, David Chebelyon, Philip Chebelyon, Henry Chebelyon, Hellen Chebelyon (Tarnaituk), Paul Chebelyon and Karen Cherotich Korir.
