ELIUD BUKU MUNYORI

It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing on of our beloved father, Eliud Buku Munyori, at Aga Khan University Hospital on 7th July, 2021, after a long illness.

Husband of Margaret Muthoni Buku. Father of Munyori Buku (Deputy President’s Office), Linet Wacera (Kiambaa Secondary), Peninah Wacuka Seme (Norwich, UK), Daniel Kabiri (Leeds, UK) and Nathan Kagunda (Equity Bank Uganda).

Son of the late Charles Munyori and Lenet Wacera Munyori and Susan Wangeci Munyori. Brother of Nathan Kagunda Munyori, Milkah Wanjiru Kabiru, John Magu Munyori, Milkah Wairimu Itote, Peter Muriithi Munyori, Joel Buku Munyori, the late Elizabeth Waitherero, Grace Wanjiru Munyori and Monicah Wangari Mwathe.

Son-in-law of the late Kabiri Mahugu and the late Peninah Wacuka Kabiri. Father-in-law of Rosemary Munyori, Tony Seme, Pauline Kabiri and Nelly Kagunda. Brother-in-law of Nahashon Mahugu Kabiri, Ngeta Kabiri and Muraya Kabiri, among others. Grandfather of Phil Eliud Buku Wacera; Hope and Zoe Seme; Joy, Ivy and Ann Munyori; and Kate, Margaret, Claire and Zawadi Kagunda, Uncle of the Kagundas, Kabirus, Magus, Itotes, Muriithis, Bukus, Mwathes and Alex Munyori Wanjiru.

Funeral arrangements are going on in Nairobi and at his home in Mathioya.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 16th July, 2021, at 7.00am for his rural home in Ruru village, Kiamuturi Sub-Location in Mathioya, Murang’a County, for burial on the same day from 10am.
