It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Rev. Eliud Kiptanui Koech after a Short illness.

Last born son of the late Abraham Chumo (Batu) and the late Bornes Chumo — Tapkigen (Obot Chelogoi) of Telanet, Sarah Chumo (Taptuei), Ann Chumo (tabaigoi), Lydia Chomu (Chesangony).

Husband to Florence Koech. Father to Gideon Tonui, the late Loice Chepkemoi, Absalom Tonui, Ven. Shadrack Tonui, Caroline Chepkoech, the late Godfrey Tonui, the late Eunice Chepngetich, Rev. Magdaline Chepkirui, the late Chepkorir, the late Kimutai, Jesse Tonui and Silvia Cherotich. Father-in-law to Rose, Rael, Emmy and Daisy.

Grandfather to Emily, Faith, Diana, Collins, Enock, Emmanuel, Brian, Faith, Neema, Lorraine, Ezra, Eunice, Abigael, Elijah, Deborah and great grandfather to Kipruto and Kiplangat.

Brother to the late Daudi, the late Rebecca, Linus Koech the late Chepkirui, the late Christopher, the late Fredrick, the late William, the late Kipngetich, Edward, the late Peter, the late Simon, Andrew, Elijah, Thomas, Reuben, the late Paul, Robert, Henry, Lucy, the late Angeline, the late Rosa, the late Christina, Justina, the late Petrolina, the late Cecilia, Aurelia, Evaline, Agnes, Fransisca, Pauline, Rosaline, Josphine and Viola.

Son-in-law to the late Jona Chumo (Wiyat), the late Sophia Chumo and the late Rebbeca Chumo of Arokyet and Ngoina scheme. Brother-in-law to Christina, the late Daniel, Recho, Mary, the late Rhoda, the late Peter, Esther, the late Ruth and Ezekiel, Esther, Jane, the late Grace, Sarah, Sammy and Liza.

Daily meetings in his farm Manaret and ACK St Matthew’s Membley.

Memorial service will be on Wednesday at ACK St Mathew’s Membley at 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kaplong Mission Hospital on Friday (4/8/2023) at 3.00pm for a memorial service at ACK St. Francis Church Manaret and thereafter an overnight stay in his Manaret Farm. Burial service will be on Saturday (5/8/2023) at 10.00am in his farm in Manaret village, Chebilat Location, Bomet County.
