ELIZABETH AOKO OKECH

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of sister in Christ Elizabeth Aoko Okech of ACK St. Mark’s Obuya “B” Church, Obuya Parish, Nyakach which occurred on 23rd July 2023.

She was wife to the late Henry Okech Lore.

Daughter to the late Reuben Rachuonyo and the late Miriam Owiti of Kanyipir, Karachuonyo. Daughter-in-law to the late Paul Lore Okech and the late Dorka Apiyo Nyotiende.

Mother to Florence Carren Akeyo Tsombe (formerly NSSF, Kericho), Tom Habil Okech (formerly MoPW, Migori), Pamella Owoko (formerly H/Bay/Ugenya KMTC, the late Naomi Odongo, Dorothy Oketch of KMTC – Lake Victoria, Lillian Okun of Nduta Pri. School – H/Bay, Duncan Tobias Otieno Oketch of Mawego TTC, Elmard Paul Lore Oketch.

Sister to the Rachuonyos’ – Elmard, Timotheo, E I Abel, Noah, Boma, Jonathan, Maritha, Beldina,  Rusalia, Leah, Anna Arogo (all deceased), George Obonyo, Joshua Jimbo, Sarah Sara, Dorina Ndiege and Dickens Onyango Mbare.

Mother-in-law to Ann Celestine Ochieng, Rosemary Otieno, Nelly Lore, Linet Odhiambo, Hellen Kuke, Rusalia Mbola, Milka Otiende, Monica Okumu, Roseline Okech Okemba, Judy Onyango, Josephine Ogweno, Margaret Oketch, Moses Odero Tsombe, Jecktone Owoko Oduor, the late Simon Odongo, Stephen Okun, Lazarus Adhu, George Ogara, S.M. Masudi, Simon Ongus, Polo, among others.

In-law to Wilson, Sylvia and Esther Ondiege, Philip and Jane Okora, Truphena and Hezekiah Mbira, Lorna and Claudio Atela, Wilkister and Wilson Ouko, Yonah Nunda, William Ajowi, Justo Omawa, Denis and Joyce Olando,William Oketch, Leonadus and Magdalene Ougo (all deceased), Elphas and Agnes Okemba, Herine Obonyo, Grace Obonyo, Pamela Noah, Helida. and Salome Jimbo.

She is survived by 36 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kisumu County Hospital Mortuary (General), on Monday, 14th August, 2023 at 10.00am for her home and funeral service. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday, 15th August, 2023 at her home in Kobong’o Village, Wahanda, Kadiang’a East, Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County.
