We announce with humility and deep sadness the death of Mama Elizabeth Awuor Onyango on Saturday 22nd August 2020.

Wife of the late Nehemiah Onyango. Daughter of Jaduong Philemon Koko Midamba and Mama Carnile Anyango of Gendia, Kakwajuok, Kendu Bay. Mother of the late George Obonyo, Winifred Atieno, Beryl Anyango, Kenneth Koko, Lynette Odondi, Garnette Oluoch-Olunya, David Otieno, and the late James Ng’ange. Sister of Simeon Were, Ruth Nyanja & Martin Bwana, deceased; Loise Ogeya, Michal Olando, Peres Omolo and Phanuel Midamba. Mother-in-law to Rahab Obonyo, Dinah Koko and Rose Otieno, Dr. Maurice Odondi Orowe and Mr. David Oluoch-Olunya.

Sister-in-law to the late Jonathan & Mama Esther Okelo, the late Eliazar Obonyo, Charles Owino, the late Samuel Odongo and Isaac Ndaro, the late Jane Were & Marceline Bwana, and Felgona Midamba. Nyawana to late Jaduong Phanuel & Mama Prisca Otiu, Dr. Joseph & Mama Judith Oluoch, late John & Wanjiku Gachuru, late William & Margaret Odera. Grandmother to Wanjiku, Gachuru, Susan, Grace Muchena, Benard, Elizabeth, Winnie Otieno, Maxwell, Brian, James, Sheba Masibo, Elizabeth, George, Adhiambo, Onyango, Maya, Denise, Jerime and Penina.

Burial will take place on Friday 28th August 2020, at her home in Kanyasrega village, Kuja Nyokal, Ranen.
