ELIZABETH GATHIGIA KAHIGA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear Mother, Mrs Elizabeth Gathigia Kahiga, which occurred on 22nd Sept 2020 at MP Shah Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Loving wife of the late Brigadier James Mwangi Kahiga. Mother to Martin Kahiga (Standard Chartered), Francis Githinji (Boston, USA), late Moses Njuguna and Monica Wanjiru Murimi (Nyingi, Wanjiru & Co. Advocates). Mother-in-Law to Anastasia Njoki Kahiga (Evolve Fitness-Langata), Elizabeth Wairimu Githinji (Boston, USA), Agnes Wanjiku Njuguna (Evolve Fitness-Kahawa) and Clement Murimi (Sayan Kenya Ltd). Loving and doting grandma to Aurelia Kahiga, Adrian Kahiga, Arnold Kahiga, Aiden Githinji, Maison Githinji, James Njuguna, Gabriella Murimi, Andrea Murimi, Christina Murimi and Teresa Murimi. Daughter of Geoffrey Githinji Ndei and late Regina Wangu. Step-daughter to Hannah Thuguri. Sister to Samuel Njogu, Mary Gathigia, Edward Kareithi, Gladys Njeri, Charles Ngure, late Ceasar Kimaru and Michael Gachara. Sister-in-law to late Milka Wambui, Gladys Njeri, late Eunice Njoki, late Norman Njuguna, John Ng’ang’a, Margaret Gathoni, Teresia Nyambura, Eunice Wambui, Nancy Wamugoiri, Joseph Mwangi and Gladys Njeri.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers at the Kahawa Wendani home from 5.30PM.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Funeral home on Wednesday 30th Sept 2020 at 9.00AM.The funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kahawa Sukari, from 10.00AM. The Burial will take place on the family land at Ruiru (Green Valley Estate) on the Eastern Bypass (Thika Rd-Embakasi bypass) about 6KM from Thika Rd Junction.
