It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elizabeth Mwari Muriuki, on 5th April 2021.

Daughter of the late Reuben M’Inoti and the late Maritha Mwaromo of Ntemwene – Meru. Beloved wife of Joel Muriuki Mberia. Loving mother of Anthony Gitonga & Ruth Nyawira, Eva Makena & Nicholas Mweresa, Grace Kinya & Lewis Gathuru, Evans Mugambi & Lucy Wairimu. Doting grandmother of Alexander Mutugi, Henry Chege, Hannah Njeri, Lugano Mweresa, Nkatha Mweresa, Mugera Mweresa, Mutugi Mweresa, Wanjiku Gathuru and Koome Mugambi.

Sister of Salome Kaimuri & the late Musa M’Kirera, Barnabas & Virginia Mutuiri, Rachel & the late Stephen Riungu, Rev. Prof. Nahashon & Dr. Monica Gitonga, Joyce & Misheck Muriungi, the late Peter Mwiti, and Jennifer Muthoni & Karathe Wandugi.

Daughter-in-law of the late David M’Rimberia M’lkunyua and the late Sarah Kajuju Mberia. Sister-in-law of Zipporah and the late David Maingi, Esther and Moses Muthuri, Judith and the late Prof. Isaac Inoti, Agnes Nkatha, Dickson and Linet Magaju and Beatrice and Arthur Panton. Auntie and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the residence of Joel and Elizabeth Mberia in Kahawa Sukari and at the family home in Kinoru Village, Ukuu Location, Nkuene Ward, Imenti South Sub-county, Meru.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan University Hospital Mortuary, on Friday 9th April, 2021, at 5.00am for a funeral service followed by burial at the family home in Kinoru village, Ukuu, Meru.
