It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Eng. B.G.Ariga of Nyamware Village, Keumbu Sub-County, Kisii County which occurred on 3rd December 2020 at Elgonview Hospital after a short illness.

Son of the Late Jackson Ariga Ombonyo and the late Mama Kerubo, the Late Gechemba, the late Bigogo, Maria Sikweya and Nyamwange Nyamangorora. Loving husband of Emily Ariga and beloved father to Yvonne Kemunto (JKUAT), Suzanne Bitutu (Strathmore University), Eng. Norah Nyabate (Kengen), Leonida Kerubo (Advocate), Emanuel Ariga Junior (Scott Christian University) and Samson Ondati.

Brother to Prisca, the late Lucina, Mary, Sabina, the late Cosmas Ombongi, Esther Areri, the late William, Nyachae, Francisca,Toel, Mary, the late Orang’o, Machira, Nyaboke, the late Jennifer Bwari, Nyamusi, Kepha, Nyakagwa, Kemunto, Omato, Machira, Stephen Ariga, Thomas, the late Rael, Charles & Ombonyo, Joshua Makori (USA) Bitutu, Nyanchama, Serebina (USA) and Dr. Michieka Ariga. Nephew to Ondati, the late Anyango, Meengwe, and Nyamwange Nyamangorora.

Cousin to Mayaka Nyakundi, Senior Resident Magistrate (Voi), the late Joseph, Mark, Teresa, Gladys, Pascalia, Onchari, Anyango, Margaret, Obong’o, Omosa, Karani, Masaka, Gesimba and others. Father-in-law to Lemiso, Adv. Alex Gitau and Adv. Harry Odondi.

His nephews and nieces include, among others, Dr. Nyamusi (MoH KSM),Anne (KIHBT), Adv. Isaac Meroka (Kericho), Eng.Tong’i (KERA Mbita), James, Adv.Kemunto (Malindi).

A requiem service shall be held on Thursday 17th December 2020, at his Milimani residence, Kakamega from 10.00am. Thereafter the cortege will leave for his Keumbu home where there shall be an overnight vigil. The Late Eng. B. G. Ariga shall be laid to rest on Friday, 18th December 2020, at his home in Keumbu, Kisii County.
