ENG. JOHN WATHINJA IRUNGU

It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely death of Eng. John Wathinja Irungu (RUBIS Energy Kenya) on 28th January 2023.

Son of Moses Irungu and Esther Wanja, husband to Caroline Wangui, brother to Peter Wachira and Eric Githaiga (Kenya Navy).

Nephew to Wachira, Macharia, Kahenya, Kimwaki (Principal Huruma Sec), Wanjiru (Kenya Army), Samuel (KNH), Muthoni, Nyagaki, Wairimu (Buruburu Girls), Susan, Wakiuru (Mathari Hospital), Peninah (Riamukurwe Sec), the late Kariuki, the late Mwai, Muthoni, Nyagaki, Wairimu, Susan, Ruth, Samuel and Peninah.

John had many cousins.

Son in law to John Kihara and Lucy Wairimu, brother in law to Eng. Mungai Kihara Grace Wanjiru and Martin Ng’ang’a, Uncle to Kephas and Kihara.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his father’s home in King’ong’o and Mweiga in Nyeri County and at Blue Springs Hotel Thika Road.

There shall be a night vigil Friday 3rd February 2023 at Nairobi Chapel, Ngong Road.

The Cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home in Nyeri on Monday 6th February at 8am for funeral service and burial at his father’s home in Mweiga at 10am.
