ENG. LAWRENCE GATAMA THUKU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Eng. Lawrence Gatama Thuku popularly known as Eng. LG.Thuku (Ministry of Public Works HQS – Chief Mechanical Engineer). He hails from Gaitheri village, Kiharu Constituency, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Mwalimu Ben Thuku Gamma and Margaret Njeri B. Thuku. Husband of Jane Njeri. Son-in-law of the late Stanley Ndegwa Ngungu and Martha Wairimu. Father of Primrose Wairimu, Maureen Njeri, Stella Muthoni and Benson Thuku. Brother of Mary Muthoni Wanjohi, Ann Wangui Kaguma, Alfred Gatiaga Thuku, John Kiiru Thuku, Lucy Wanjiku Thuku and Primrose Wanjiru Thuku.

Brother-in-law of the late Wanjohi Kaburi, John Kaguma Maina, Catherine Wangui Thuku, Fraciah Wangari Kiiru, Patrick Gitonga Ngure, Joyce Kabura Mwangi, the late David Ngungu, James Kahuria, Sospeter Njoroge, Ann Njambi Ngige and Stephen Kariuki. Grandfather of Ray Gatama and Susan Nyambura. Uncle and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Komarock home, Sector I Msaponi Court.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University (KU) Funeral Home -Thika Road on Friday 9th July, 2021, at 7.30am, followed by funeral and burial service at Gaitheri Village, Kiharu Constituency, Murang’a County.
