With great sorrow, we announce the promotion to Glory of our family pillar, our beloved and retired Arch-Deacon Ephantus Muritu Githia, on Thursday, the 21st of May, 2020, after a long illness bravely borne. He was, a retired Arch-Deacon with AIPCA Church.
Son of the late Githia Gakime and the late Wangui Githia. Husband of Jennifer Muthoni. Father of the late Duncan Maina and Ruth Wanjiru, Godfrey Murigi and Mary Wairimu, Josiah Mwangi and Rose Nyambura, David Mugo and the late Milkah Wanjiku, Esther Njoki and Wagiita Theuri (Advocate) and Lucy Wanjiku. Brother of Gachanja Githia, and the late Esther Njoki Ireri. Brother in-law of Ireri Kamau and Grace Waigumo. Grandfather of Jane Muthoni, Jane Jeniffer Muthoni, Kevin Muritu, Brian Muritu, Lee Muritu, Faith Muthoni, Moreen Wambui, Jessica Muthoni, Joseph Mburu, Ebenezer Muritu, Margaret Nyambura, the late Jeniffer Muthoni, and Lesley Nyokabi.
The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on 27th May 2020 at 8.00 a.m for a funeral service and burial thereafter at his home in Watuka sub-location, Gatarakwa Location, in Kieni West, Nyeri County.
Rev 13:14 ‘Blessed are those that die in the Lord from now on, for they will rest from their hard (Retired Arch-Deacon AIPCA) work and their good deeds will follow them’.
