Join us in celebrating the life of our beloved patriach who rested on Wednesday 29’thNovember 2023 at the Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu after a long illness bravely borne.

The late Councillor (Clir.) Erastus Were Julu was born in 1934 to the late Mzee Thadayo Julu Okwaro and the late lsdora Nyandho of jimo East Location, Kamwana Village. Cllr Erastus was the first-born son with five siblings, namely: Silvia (late). Margaret (late). Hippos (late), Domitila and Edward (late). He was the step-brother to many, among them being: Paul (late), Aspro (late), Akach (late), William (late), Shelemia (late), Kepha (laze), Samuel, Justus, Japhet, Unita, Esther, Jane, Susan (late), Lilian, Saline, and Monica. He was step-son to Mama Dorina (late). Mama Doris (late), Mama Prisca (late) and Mama Mariam late).

Cllr Erastus wedded the late Salome Adhiambo Rakewa of Kano Kamagaga. They were blessed with I I children, namely: Mary, Nashon (late), Shen (late). Johnson. Dickson (late), Jackton.Anne (late), Rose, Martin. John (Mzee, late) and Jared. He was also married to Hellen Adoyo Mitoko of West Karachuonyo, Kokoth and were blessed with eight children, namely Tom. Lillian, Wycliffe (late), Ken (late), Hezborn, Olivia, Isaiah and Florence.

He was father-in-law to Margaret, Milka_ Milicent, Gloria, Evelyne, Jennifer, Mercy, Loise and Emma, and lived to see many grandchildren and several great grand-children.

A funds drive towards settling the medical bill and funeral expenses ts scheduled on Saturday 16th December 2023 at 2.00 pm at the National Housing Corporation (NHC) Langata, Court, Phase IV Block D67 in Nairobi. The funeral service for Cllr Erastus will be held at his home in Jimo East.. Nyakach Sub-County, Kisumu County on 22nd December 2023 from 11.00 am Interment will follow immediately after.
