ESTHER AKWARA BARASA

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Esther Akwara Barasa, retired teacher, St. Mathews Pri. School, Moru, on 19th October 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Daughter of the late Peter Barasa and the late Bernadetta Atieno. Step daughter of Asukute. She was a loving wife of Retired Warrant Officer Hieronimos Oude Emojong.

Dear Mother of Oleket Emojong, Mercy Emojong, Denis Oude, Collins Barasa and Allan Ekirapa. 

Sister of Anzelmus, the late Consolata, Beatrice, the late Domitila, the late Omusugu, Ruth, Francisca, the late Emee, Opili, Etyang, Fidelis and Stephen. 

Mother-in-Law of Patricia, Damaris and Winnie. Grandmother of, Jason, Zamar, Raymond, Ivannah, Agnes, Liron, Aldric, Talia and Zelda. 

She was a proud Auntie to many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University TRR Hospital (KUTRRH) Funeral Home on Friday 8th November 2024.

The Burial will be held at her home in Osia Village, Kakurkit, Teso North Sub County, Busia County on 9th November 2024.
